Sweet Baby Girl | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

This baby’s mama booked me as she was on her way to the hospital, in labour with this little darling! She had come to get portraits done with her first babe a couple years ago and I was so happy to have her back in my studio for her second baby girl’s newborn portraits.

Mama even moved in between babies and still chose to drive across the city to Airdrie for me and I am so blessed and honoured to have such incredible clients like this beautiful lady.
She also asked for some shots of baby in blue and I am always here for that.

Little Sisters' Newborn Portraits | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

My, house newborn portrait sessions change when you’re not in the middle of a pandemic. When this sweet girl’s big sister came to the studio in 2021, things were a little different. That being said, I was so happy to have her parents back because they are just absolute gems of people.

When a big sibling comes for sibling portraits, it can be daunting. There is a window of time where they want to participate but are too young to actually HOLD baby, and then the window after that is that they want nothing to do with listening or sitting or cooperating in any capacity at all.

This sweet girl was all ready to be in photos with her baby sister and I was here for it. This has got to be the cutest sibling photo I have ever photographed in my studio. Usually I have to photoshop this one.

This sweet boy came along with his family who were the SWEETEST people I have ever met. I know, I say that every time. But seriously. I was so proud of this little dude’s newborn portrait session. Mama snagged a Black Friday sale and got her whole gallery!

Sweet baby A and her Mama's bridal veil | Calgary Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

This sweet little darling could not have been more precious. I know I say that every time but look at her! Her mama brought her traditional wedding veil to be photographed with this sweet girl, and the colours we selected for her newborn photo session were so gorgeous!

I love when folks bring in sentimental things to have photographed with your newborn portraits, especially when I can incorporate them with FLORALS and PURPLE! My favourite things.

Baby V's Newborn Portrait Session | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

I LOVE this family! They booked me for their maternity and newborn portraits with their first baby boy and we had fun. By fun, of course, I mean we froze our bums off in the mountains and there was snow and it was a-blowin’.

Fast forward to when Mama is pregnant with her second little dude, and she books me again! I am always so happy and excited, grateful, when clients book me multiple times. I love getting to know you all and those relationships just grow every time and it’s so incredible.

This little darling was so good for his photos the entire time, I did one of my favourite poses, “tummy time” in a little wooden bed!

I like to offer clients a gallery with a lot of variety, ideal with a vast selection of poses, colours, styles and changes so that your photos are all unique. You can see how that happens here, while trying to stick to a cohesive style.

The SWEETEST babe | Calgary Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo | Airdrie, AB

I dreamed about photographing this babe from the moment her mom booked me for both her maternity and newborn portraits. She told about how they had the most beautiful mural painted on their baby’s nursery wall and the colours they wanted to use (Jewel tones). I was so excited. I was sure to pick out some extra special stuff just for their Calgary newborn session because I wanted it to be PERFECT.

Are these family portraits not the most dreamy things? It was heaven photographing this family, with the rich cocoa background, it’s what photographer dreams are made of. Baby’s grandparents even travelled from eastern Canada to help out so they tagged along and got some grandparent portraits with little baby T.

I have to say that I am so proud of this little one’s gallery. She showed up for me and I showed up for her. She was easy to pose and she was down for all the ideas I had. Her gallery was huge and lovely and I can’t wait to see her again!

Twin Girls | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

These sweet girls came to me all the way from Drumheller with their big sister and mom & dad! They were SOOOO good!

The one thing I get asked most when folks inquire with me about photographing their twins is if I charge extra since there are two babies.

The Answer to that is no. I do not charge extra for twins. It is double the work, double the laundry and double the hands - I bring in an assistant to help me when I have a set of twins, that I cover costs for. Some photographers charge extra for twins and that honestly makes sense and that works for them. I choose not to because I suppose there are just so many things parents have to get extra sets of when they’re having multiples, and they still want memories of their babies and they didn’t choose to have double, or maybe they did haha. That’s not my business. The moral of the story is no, I do not charge extra for twins.

When I do twins sessions I make sure to capture individual photos of each twin on their own and a handful of images of them together in different setups.

Baby S | Calgary Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photo

I photographed Lily in the winter on a beautiful day and she was seriously the most stunning soul, she glowed that day .

Mama didn’t book newborn portraits at first but once her sweet little bundle arrived, she knew she wanted to capture those moments. She had an older daughter who was SO SO excited to be a big sister and it showed. She beamed caring for her baby sister. This whole session was perfection and so sweet.
