This little fella was a dream for his Calgary newborn session and can we talk about the tones in this stunning photo of him with this gorgeous mama? After we did the family portraits, mum and dad passed out for a much-needed nap while I worked with this little ball of love. I am so honoured when that happens.

This babe was born at the end of August but the fall vibes of this Calgary newborn portrait session are perfect. He was happy to do any pose, and he was so sweet. Look at his little lippies.

Your newborn portrait session begins the moment you book, when I send a questionnaire asking if there’s anything super important you want included, or what colours or styles you’d like. We match or coordinate to the baby’s nursery, or to your home, so that when you go to display the images in your home they all flow together.

Mama wanted purple and blue for this sweet girl’s newborn portraits. I was ECSTATIC. I love getting to use different colours for girls than what I normally do. DID YOU KNOW? This sweet babe was so much fun to photograph, she would have let me do anything I think. She was absolutely precious and didn’t care what I did. Her parents found me through a referral and I am so grateful for things like that. When you tell your family and friends that I am worth the investment to photograph your precious new baby, that means the world to me.

This sweetest of sweet girls came to the studio from Chestermere, Alberta. I am always honoured when clients travel to me from places other than Calgary or Airdrie. Her mama had a mountain maternity done back in June, you can find that stunning session here.

While this was absolutely such an exceptional session in my books, I think my favourite part was including Grandma from Mom’s side and Grandpa from Dad’s side in the photos. They are both so proud to be grandparents and involved in their grandbabies’ lives and that just really sits so full in my heart. My next favourite thing was mom bringing her veil from their wedding to use, I LOVE getting to be creative with things like that, especially when it means getting to use bold colours.

This little darling was an absolute JOY. Her mama booked me last minute, she had already been born. Sometimes you just don’t know if you want to get newborn photos done until that sweet little human is born and you see them ever changing before your eyes and you know you need to document it ASAP!! That is okay.
I try to make room for last minute clients JUST in case that happens :)

Fall Maternity Mini Sessions | Lace & Locket Photo | Calgary Maternity Photographer | Airdrie Maternity Photographer

If you’ve been wanting to book a maternity session for a while but something’s been holding you back - now is the time! These mini sessions are designed to capture your beautiful bump against a stunning fall backdrop, before it blows away with the wind for another year. Normally when folks book their maternity session in around September/October it’s either still too green or the wind comes one day and just blows all the leaves away before we even get a chance to capture it! Fall lasts but a moment here in Alberta.

These sessions allow you to capture your bump (with your family included- or not if you want!) and give you the ability to spoil yourself, treat yourself this pregnancy with some gorgeous photos. There is an option to add on Hair & Makeup, purchase your entire gallery or just keep it simple.

Maternity gowns will be reserved ahead of time so that gowns are only being worn once to adhere to Covid sanitization guidelines. This means that some gowns will be reserved before others so if there’s one you’re interested in, get on messaging me to reserve it ASAP! Once your time slot has been selected you will get a link to the maternity gowns available.
